Africans and Black Americans
Is it more important for black Americans to learn about African societies than people who aren't black, or should American blacks think of themselves as totally separate from African people? What could African cultures teach us?
SERIOUSLY WHY DOES IT REALLY MATTER IF ITS MORE IMPORTANT FOR BLACK AMERICANS LEARN ABOUT AFRICAN SOCIETIES THAN PROPLE WHO ARENT BLACK EVERYDAY SOMETHING NEW IS BEING TOUGHT TO EVERYBODY IT DOSENT MATTER WHAT LANGUAGE OR WHERE YOUR FROM WHAT YOU ARE LEARNING EVERYBODY IS BEING TOUGHT THE SAME BUT IN DIFFERENT PLACES AND FROM DIFFERENT PEOPLE IT EITHER IS UNDERSTANDIBLE OR NONUNDERSTANDING.PROPLE SHOULDNT CONSIDER THEMSELFS SEPERATED BY COLOR OR RACE PEOPLE SHOULD THINK OF THEMSELFS EQUAL. AFRICAN CULTURES SHOULD TEACH US WHAT ITS LIKE TO BE TREATED SEPERATED AND EQUAL WE REALLY NEED EACH OTHER FOR EXAPLE LACKS,WHITES,CHINESSE,ASIAN,AFRICANS,JAMICANS ETC BECAUSE WITHOUGHT ALL OF US BEING EVERYWHERE OR MIXED IT WOULD NOT BE UNDERSTANDABLE.
ReplyDeleteIT IS IMPORTANT FOR EVERY AFRICAN AMERICAN TO LEARN ABOUT AFRICAN SOCIETIES. LEARNING ABOUT AFRICAN CULTURE, WERE YOUR NATURAL ANCESTORS CAME FROM IS VERY IMPORTANT. IT MEANS ALOT TO ME THAT ME THAT THIS WOMEN NAMED 'EVE' THE MOTHER OF US ALL STARTED SUCH A LIFE. SUCH CREATION, AND MADE AFRICAN AMERICANS HISTORY. AFRICAN AMERICANS FROM OVER 3,000,000 YEARS AGO STARTED EVERYTHING WE KNOW HOW TO DO TODAY. THE STUDY OF HUMAN REMAINS AND ARTIFACTS HELP IN UNDERSTANDING OUR PLACE IN HUMAN HISTORY. SO I'M TRYING TO SAY AMERICAN BLACKS SHOULD NEVER THINK OF THEMSELVES SEPARATE FROM AFRICAN PEOPLE. AND NEITHER SHOULD ANY OTHER NATIONALITY. BUT MAINLY IF YOU ARE AN AFRICAN AMERICAN.
ReplyDeleteIt is very important for black Americans to learn about African societies than people who aren't black because we grew up in a world that was very different from now the world where blacks came about was easy for them but as time pass it become hard for them. The reason wh i say this is because for the fact how we was treated in the past the things we did or the way how people talk to us or the horrible things thewy did to us. I mean it really important because we live in a world where so much of negative things is going on in our society. it in our blood to see how we change from ythe past up to now. So much of pain and suffering we had to go through to actually understand how we got here today life in the past wasnt easy for us. We were seen as hatred people. The people who of some who did care and some who did. Some who felt our pain and some just didnt care at all because of the act toward us made African American felt that way life was hard wasnt easy or even funny to laugh at. So much happen that all we could of blam was the whites because they act of violent towards us whites treat us so bad to the point that we was scared of our self and our lives and childrens. We been fighting for so long and as times pass things seem to change. But am saying now is that African American is imporant people to the world and to us because if it wasnt for them or trying to making any changes then i dont know what going to happen it a reason Why we are hear today. It a reason why so much of law where pass. We need things to happen and for other to look at us differently and not as a creature who have hatred . African culture teach us alot about how we live ina villge or in a town like the kind of food we eat or like how the way we live. By the other way our believe in certain things our religion that comes about. So much blacks expect in life during years we been around. Now things change is shocks that now African have to live with the horrible past their experience during the years. But you know what goes around comes right back, we hold our self as a prize because we were importatnt to the world and the things we went though. How we had to over come it. We are the greatest. Many people do look up to as in a way that we had tto fight for our right and what it better for us to live in. At time we do know about our past but there more to say on what did actually happen during the many years. Like i say we have the rights to know what happen to our ancester. But the reason why is because the society will change but still we should still know what was going on.
ReplyDeletei think that the people thats not black should learn about the African culture and the things they when throw to get were they are now.because they went throw so much if it was for the blacks we wouldn't have history is it good that it happen no slavery and things like that made Africa and america stronger no i think Africa shouldn't think they have to be separate because thats the things we remember about the blacks i think if u are black white jamacan i dont care you should learn about how we got hear what we did to get hear who was the people that got us there African culture could teach us that there is more culture and ways then your culture but we all have different ways to do things the foods the way they have fun there houses whats it mad from the ways they come to the things .also African culture should teach us that we shouldn't look at other culture like it they are nasty or dum be open mined u just mean to get used to the inviroment and the people .
ReplyDeleteI think it is important for African Americans to learn about African culture. As a people we have no knowledge of self. Majority of black people know very little about the founding members of their families. Also many customs and African cultures are lost today because generations of people never got to learn their original culture. I also feel that African culture is important to learn about because some of the first civilizations were founded in Africa. Africa also has a very rich history. Africans developed complex methods of both math and science to create some of the world’s wonders such as pyramids. Africa is also home to some of the world natural beauties such as diamonds and gold. Most importantly schools do not do enough to educate black students about African history, if the history of Africa I think black students would be more unified because we all share a common history. I also think that with an understanding of African history black students would take school more seriously considering that most of our enslaved ancestors were kept ignorant.
ReplyDeleteI believe it doesn’t matter who learns or wants to learn about African societies its more of a choice and not a given right no matter what race you were born as black, white, Chinese, or Asian. Personally I would love to learn more about African society and theirs other societies that I wouldn’t mind learning to but that’s my choice . All around the world in different schools we have history, global w/e teachers call it now theses days and in that subject we learn about pretty much every race /country and there struggle an its up to us if we want to take that information in or if we find a race/country interesting an want to learn more about it. I believe threes no right or wrong answer because everybody’s entitled to there on thoughts and belief I think it doesn’t really matter but some might think otherwise.
ReplyDeleteI think it's important for American blacks to learn about African societies, especially if your parents or grandparents were born in America.Even though you were born as an American it's important to know where your ancestors lived and how they lived.Learning about African societies is important for other races too since Africa is the homeland of all people, but as black Americans it should be more important because we are still black. Also there were many devices that originated in Africa like compasses and advanced monuments were made like pyramids and statues,so knowing this would make more people aware about how important Africans as humans.
